2014 Excellence Winners

Taylor Bartholomew of Miles City is majoring in Diesel with a minor in Business. While at Northern, Taylor has been the President of Northern Diesel Racing, on the Dean's list and plans to graduate next year. Taylor is the son of Mark Bartholomew.

Taylor Cummings of Belt, MT will graduate this May with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Design Drafting Technology and will graduate the following May with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Civil Engineering. After graduation, Taylor plans to find a job for a structural engineering firm and work towards achieving her Professional Engineering certificate. Taylor wants to eventually return to school and pursue a career as an Architect. Taylor is the daughter of Teri Cummings.

Caralee Fortin Caralee will be graduating this May with a Bachelor of Science degree in Diesel Technology: Equipment Management. After graduation, Caralee will begin work with General Electric. She wants to showcase the skills and knowledge she achieved through her time at MSU-Northern. Caralee's aspirations are to move up into a management position. Caralee is the daughter of Melanie and Dale Fortin of Hays, MT.

Molly Grubb will graduate this May with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a minor in Marketing. Molly is very creative and "hopes to start her career with a company that makes a difference, not only to their employees, but also the community in which they reside." Molly is looking at employment opportunities with Google, Starbucks, and Glacier National Park. Molly stated, "While I am not sure where my future leads, I trust God to bring me to it at the proper time and place." Molly is the daughter of Donovan and Patricia Grubb of Cut Bank, MT.

Annie Kling plans to graduate this May with a Bachelor's in Liberal Studies and a minor in Native American Studies. Annie plans to enroll in our Master of Science in Education program and wants to work at MSU-Northern. After acquiring her Master's, Annie plans to teach in the Montana University System and wants to obtain a PhD. Annie is the spouse of Ron Kling.

Ron Kling graduates this May with a Bachelor's in Liberal Studies and a minor in Native American Studies. Ron wants to continue in the Master of Education: Counselor Education program and eventually specialize in the field of Addictions and Counseling. Ron is the spouse of Annie Kling.

Michael LaValley of Missoula plans to participate in Commencement this May and complete his student teaching requirements in the fall. Michael believes that "public schools are pivotal institutions that mold tomorrow's society." His career goal is to have a significant impact on the education system. "I am excited for my future as an educator." Michael is the son of Shane and Rolanda LaValley.

Chris Reed is majoring in Secondary Education: General Science and plans to graduate Fall 2014. After graduation, Chris plans to teach high school chemistry and to generate enthusiasm for the STEM fields in his students. Chris and his spouse Linda Reed live in Havre.

Randi Sunford of Saco, MT plans to graduate next year with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a minor in Applied Agriculture. Last summer, Randi participated in a crop scouting internship through Land O' Lakes at the Milk River Cooperative in Malta, MT and this past February she attended the National Farmers Union College Conference on Cooperatives in Minneapolis, MN. Randi recognizes that these experiences will help her in her future career as a consultant. She stated, "I can't think of a more rewarding career than helping the producers that feed the world." Randi is the daughter of Bob and Charlene Sunford.

Bennett Taylor plans to graduate in December 2014 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and two minors: Small Business Management and one in Accounting. Bennett wants to remain in Montana and gain some work experience to help her open up her own business or take over the family business. Bennett is the daughter of Greg and Peggy Taylor of Shelby, MT.

Jaime Williams of Great Falls, will graduate next December with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a minor is Small Business Management. After graduation she plans to open an assisted living home in Missoula with her sister-in-law. Jaime is the daughter of Debbie Williams.
