Engineering Technology and Industrial Arts Building (Brockmann Center)

Engineering & IA Building, circa 1972
In 1970 the Engineering Technology and Industrial Arts Building opened. Designed by Page and Werner, this building was also constructed into the hillside. The exposed front area had large doors to facilitate the moving of heavy or large sized materials. The two story flat roofed structure houses faculty offices, classrooms and several laboratory and shop areas. The building is located east of the Armory Gym and west of the Electronics Building. A computer center was developed in the building and was a major technical training center for a variety of hardware and software manufacturers. This building was named Brockmann Center in honor of former NMC President L. O. Brockmann.
