WebEx for Faculty & Staff
WebEx is a cloud-based Web conferencing system where participants can meet remotely and collaborate sharing screens, files and video. Here are just a few examples of how faculty and staff can use WebEx:
- virtual classroom instruction
- advising
- virtual office hours
- one-on-one or group tutorials
- committee work
Tip! Download and install the Webex productivity tools to schedule meetings directly in Outlook.
All MSU-Northern faculty and staff may request a WebEx account by contacting the ITS Help Desk. Once your account is enabled, you can log in with your NetID and password.
Get Started
Before scheduling your first meeting or event, decide which service is the best option for your needs:
Meetings
Present information, share applications, and collaborate on projects in a centralized space
Personal Meeting Room
Your own personal meeting space where the URL never changes.
Training
Deliver e-learning to attendees through online training sessions, give students access to pre-recorded sessions and HD videos, test their knowledge and more
Access
You can access the Webex Meetings interface using:
- Desktop App *Recommended* : Information on how to join using the Desktop App
- Web Browser : Information on how to Join using the Web App
- Mobile App : Information on how to join using the Mobile App
WebEx is set up with Single Sign On, so you use your NetID and password to login.
