Residency
The Montana University System classifies all applicants for admission and currently enrolled students as either in-state or out-of-state. This classification affects admission decisions and fee determinations. The basic rules for making the classifications are found in Board of Regents' policy. If you have questions regarding your residency status, please contact the Admissions Office. A copy of the Montana University System "Montana Residency Reqiurements" Policy will be forwarded to you. The Guide contains the policy and a Residency Questionnaire that may be submitted by individuals who believe they are eligible for in-state tuition and fees.
