What is the Ford MLR Manufacturer Training Program*?

The Ford Maintenance and Light Repair (MLR) Manufacturer Training Program (MTP) at MSU-Northern is an industry-recognized training program integrated into the Associate of Applied Science in Automotive Technology degree. This specialized training pathway, developed in collaboration with Ford Motor Company, equips students with technical knowledge and hands-on experience to begin their careers as Maintenance and Light Repair technicians for Ford and Lincoln Mercury dealerships.

This program provides students with real-world experience working on late-model Ford and Lincoln Mercury vehicles, ensuring they develop the skills needed to diagnose, repair, and maintain cutting-edge automotive systems. The Ford MLR MTP prepares graduates to meet industry standards while providing a competitive advantage in the job market.
