Student Health Services
Hi and welcome to the MSU-Northern Student Health Service site. My name is Sherry Kegel and I am a registered nurse. I have been actively working as an RN for several years, and spent many years working with a family practice physician. This is my 5th year here at MSU-Northern. I would like to give you a little information about what the Student Health Service provides.
There are two physician assistants (PA's) that come to the center two times a week. One comes on Tuesday mornings from 10:30 AM to 12 noon, and one on Thursday afternoon from 1 PM to 2:30 PM. Our site is set up like a doctor's office and the PA's are able to evaluate and diagnose students in the same manner they would at the doctor's office. If you are seen in our facility and need further testing, you will be sent to another location to have this done. I do not charge out insurance, so it is important you have your insurance card available to present at that facility at the time of service.
We are conveniently located in the Student Union Building (SUB) room 228. All students enrolled in six or more credits are eligible to use this service.
MSU-Northern is a member of the American College Health Association and follows the policies and operating procedures recommended by the association.
I look forward to hopefully meeting you one day soon and thank you for checking out this site. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me at:
