Criteria: Awarded to a Montana High School graduate who is of Junior or Senior status enrolled full time at Northern, majoring in Education with a GPA of 3.00 or higher. Further selection will be based on students who present a commitment to and enthusiasm for education and students, a strong work ethic and an involvement in activities outside of school.

Criteria: The recipient of this scholarship must be a female student who has successfully completed 30 credits and maintained a minimum GPA of 3.0 in Education with preference given to a student from the Hi-Line area and demonstrating financial need. It is dedicated in memory of Ms. Elmslie by the local AAUW organization.
