On the MyInfo Home page, click on the Enter Secure Area link.
On Secure Area login screen, enter your student ID (with the leading dash) and your PIN number. The first time you log on your PIN is your birthdate in the format yymmdd.
The first time you log on you will get the message your PIN has expired. Enter your old PIN (your birthdate), then enter your new pin twice, and then click the Login button
New MyInfo PINs must be:
Between 8 and 15 characters long
Contain at least one letter (a-z, A-Z)
Contain at least one number (0-9)
and can contain (optional): $,*,%,@,#, &
You will be prompted to enter a security question and answer in case you forget your PIN. Be sure to make this question something you'll remember how to answer. Click the Submit button when you are done.
You will now be logged into MyInfo. There will be a Personal Information tab, a Student Services tab and a Financial Aid tab (if you have Financial Aid)
NOTE: You will need to accept your fees EVERY semester by clicking on the Electronic Billing and Payment link.
Registering for Classes

After speaking with your Advisor and looking up your classes, you will begin the registration process by clicking on the Student Services tab.
Once you are on the Student Services tab, you will click the Registration link.
Also note the Student Records link on this page: This is where you will get your grades. MSU-Northern does not send your grades to you. You can also view and print an unoffiial transcript.
There are a lot of things you can do on the registration screen - register for classes, view/print your schedule and find out who your advisor is.
To register for classes, you will click on the Add/Drop Classes link.
Select the term you are registering for and click the Submit button.
You will be promted to choose an option for health insurance. Depending on your needs, select either Elect Insurance or Waive Insurance and click the appropriate button.
If you waive the insurance, you will need to verify your decision.
First, accept the waiver:
Then read this and click Continue:
In order to register for classes you will need to enter an Advisor Number (also known as an "Advisor PIN number")
On the Add/Drop Classes screen enter the CRN numbers you looked up from the schedule. When you are done click the Submit Changes button ONCE.
When the system completes the registration process, the next screen you see will display your Current Schedule.
If you need to drop courses, click the Action field next to the course(s) you are dropping. Click the Submit Changes button for your action to take effect.
After you register you can go back to the Registration menu and get your schedule by clicking either Student Detail Schedule or Student Day & Time Schedule.
