When contacting ITS with a request for service related to MSU-Northern telephones, a user can reduce the amount of time needed for ITS to get on-site, by providing some basic information about their set.

Information that is helpful:

Type of telephone - Analog or digital, preferably even the specific set type, 2500, 2008, 2616, etc. Please see How to Identify Your Telephone.

Where the telephone is located. Building and room number.

A concise description of the problem.
Instead of:
     My phone don’t work!
The preferred would be:
     When I pick up my receiver I hear a sound like a key is being pressed and I cannot make any calls from my set. I first noticed the problem after I spilled my coffee on the keypad.

The responsible person or persons for the set, in case charges are incurred.
