Originally written by Louis and Antoinette Hagener in 1979, it has been updated through the 1999-2000 school year. Louis W. Hagener was an esteemed faculty member and longtime chair of the Science Department and Dean of Basic Curricula and General Studies. Antoinette is well known for her public service to the community of Havre and the State of Montana and her interest in historical preservation. This is a fascinating record of Northern's struggle to serve students and communities in the far northern reaches of Montana and the triumph in adversity.
