New Heating & Air Conditioning System in Cowan Nears Completion
Winter 2004

The heating, ventilating, and air conditioning project taking place in Cowan Hall is in the final stages and nearing completion. Right now, the crew is performing testing and balancing on the new system. The heating system is in operation, but the air conditioning is projected for another two weeks to a month. The project was started one year ago. The air conditioning system is unique in that it operates off of ground water. The ground water is pumped from one well to another through a heat exchanger. The heating system is a hot water system rather than a steam system. Air handling units being placed on top of Cowan
