Northern Makes Plans for 75th Celebrations
Winter 2004

Northern alumni and campus committees have begun the planning process for a year long celebration of Northern's 75th Anniversary. On September 14th, 1929 a "Remarkable Journey" began and we have planned a series of outstanding activities to commemorate the occasion. It will all begin September 17th, 2004 with a ribbon cutting ceremony and "Birthday Party" on the old East Hall Lawn (weather permitting) and progress through the year with the alumni Scholarship Social and Auction and All School Reunion during Homecoming in October. The New Year will begin with the "Celebrate Northern's 75th Anniversary" cruise with seven days in January on the Mexican Riviera aboard the CARNIVAL PRIDE with our friends from The University of Montana Western. Your deposit is due April 1st so please contact Tom Reynolds in the Foundation Office 406.265.3711 ASAP! February brings the outstanding "We Love MSU-Northern" Ball and in April our Student Excellence will be featured. It all culminates the week of Commencement, May 7th & 8th with celebrations of the Class of "05, Founders' Excellence, and our "Golden Grads" from the Class of `55. Other plans include big name entertainment and commemorative banners that will be hung from light poles coming into and around campus.

Your help is needed to make this a truly memorable celebration and the most important thing you can do is plan to participate in as many activities as you can, but we are also asking you to consider a onetime gift to this project in one of three ways: as a Contributor, gifting a minimum of $7.50 or $.75 for every year since you left Northern; as a Northern Light gifting $75.00 outright; or as a Chancellor's Leader, gifting $750.00 or more. We want you to remember this event and, in appreciation for your gift the Northern Alumni Association will have a gift for you. We are truly excited about celebrating Northern's "Remarkable Journey."
