Winter 2003

Dr. Mark Voss, new assistant professor of Civil Engineering, has served as a project structural engineer and a geotechnical engineering inspector in Milwaukee. He earned his B.S. in Engineering Mechanics and Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin Madison, and his M.S./Ph.D. degrees in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Marquette University in Wisconsin. Dr. Voss also taught at Marquette University and has written for various professional publications.

Patrick Dauer has come to Northern to replace Vern Gagnon as automotive and diesel technology instructor. Previously Dauer ran his own auto repair shop, built and managed a power plant, and was instructor for Snap On Technical Training Systems. He holds a B.S. in automotive technology and a one year degree in engine performance diagnosis and air conditioning.

Krista Scott Milligan is the new drafting instructor. She takes Greg Kegel's place, who now serves as dean of the College of Technical Sciences. Milligan graduated with a BT (bachelor of technology) in drafting from Northern Montana College, then spent 11 years teaching at ITT Educational Services, Inc. and Montana Tech.

Byron Ophus worked at Independence Bank (formerly First Security Bank) in Havre for 17 years before joining MSU-Northern's faculty as instructor of business for the College of Technical Sciences. He earned his Bachelor of Technology degree from Northern Montana College in 1983.
