Montana State University Northern welcomed the Northern Montana College Classes of `36 &'56 back to campus on May 5th and 6th, 2006, to celebrate their Golden Anniversary Reunion. The returning alums had a busy schedule that included campus and community tours in the "Galloping Goose," class meetings, and socialization time for the class members to catch up with one another.

The reunion began Friday, May 5th, with class registration in Donaldson Commons and a luncheon featuring MSU Northern Chancellor, Dr. Alex Capdeville who gave the welcome and an update on the campus progress. Montana State University-Northern's Admissions office staff lead a tour of the campus followed by a class meeting in Donaldson Hall.

Friday's festivities concluded with the Founders' Excellence dinner and Reunion banquet in the Student Union Dining Room where the 50 year alumni were introduced and received their 50 year pins.

On Saturday, May 6th, MSU Northern's Commencement ceremony highlighted the weekend. The "Golden Grads" marched in the processional leading the new graduates into the graduation exercises. At the conclusion of Commencement, they joined the Class of 2006, their families and friends, and the faculty, staff and administration in the Student Union Ballroom for the Graduation Brunch. A tour of Havre Beneath The Streets was scheduled for Saturday afternoon to showcase Havre's history. The reunion concluded with a social hour and barbecue held in Donaldson Commons and hosted by the Northern Alumni Association board members.
