Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU)
  The Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) is an independent, non-profit membership organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) as the regional authority on educational quality and institutional effectiveness of higher education institutions in the seven-state Northwest region of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, and Washington. It fulfills its mission by establishing accreditation criteria and evaluation procedures by which institutions are reviewed.

  Montana State University-Northern's Civil Engineering Technology Bachelor of Science program is accredited by the Technology Accreditation Commission of ABET. TAC-ABET is the sole organization authorized by the U.S. Department of Education for accrediting programs of this type.

State Board of Public Education
(BPE)
  Montana State University-Northern's Education Assoicate of Arts and Bachelor of Science in Education programs are accreddited by the Montana Office of Public Instruction. The Accreditation Division of the Montana Office of Public Instruction assists, reviews, and monitors 859 K-12 schools and eight teacher education programs at Montana’s postsecondary institutions for compliance with school accreditation standards and other rules. The division assists schools, districts, and teacher education programs to align standards, curriculum, instruction, assessment, and professional development.

National Automotive Technicians Foundation (NATEF)
  Montana State University-Northern's Automotive Technology Bachelor of Science & Associate of Applied Science programs are certified by NATEF. NATEF is an independent, non-profit organization with a single mission: To evaluate technician training programs against standards developed by the automotive industry and recommend qualifying programs for certification (accreditation) by ASE, the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence.
