the ribbon-cutting and grand opening of a brand new, state of the art Diesel Te4chnology Center. This facility houses a line of big bore engine technology utilized in the railroad and shipping industries. The building also includes basic and advanced engine labs that are networked directly to OEMs, providing students with a technically sound education on a variety of engines.

have the option of tailoring their degree to meet specific goals. The Field Maintenance option includes welding and fabrication courses that enable a graduate to work in construction or off-site locations, while the Equipment Management option focuse3s on upper-level business and accounting skills. All of Northern's diesel degrees include a cooperative education component, which enables the student to "test drive" company for a semester, get course credits, and get paid all at the same time.
