![]() MSU-Northern features a variety of Diesel Technology offerings including a four year Bachelor of Science degree, an Associate of Applied Science degree, and a minor. The programs are designed to allow one to advance from one to another without losing credits or repeating courses. This allows you to choose the option that best meets your career goals. The Field Maintenance Option in the Diesel program allows students majoring in Diesel to complete a concentration that enhances their skills in welding and fabrication. Students that complete this option commonly work for construction companies and dealerships and operate service trucks on off site locations. You can also focus on your particular interest by participating in a cooperative education experience. This opportunity provides you with a chance to explore your field and gain work experience while earning university credit. MSU-N’s Diesel Program is one of a limited number of universities offering 4-year degrees in Diesel Technology. Transfer (2+2)We have articulation agreements with a number of schools in the United States and Canada allowing students earning an associate degree to transfer into our 4-year Bachelors of Science degree:
After graduation, you may find employment in industry as a service technician, service manager, shop foreman, district representative for a major corporation, or be self-employed. Northern continues to provide employers with graduates that can meet the challenges of today's industry." “We don’t come to MSUN to hire mechanics, we come to MSUN to gain Equipment Managers.” “MSU-Northern’s technology programs provide our company unique and valuable resources for high caliber employees and is an important piece in our regional strategy for recruiting and employee development.” “The goal of economic development depends on an educated work force. MSU Northern has been our pipeline for top caliber talent since 1996. The technical and leadership skills of MSU-Northern students rise above the rest!” Greg Clouse |
