MSU-Northern’s Northern’s Carpentry Technology program offers practical hands-on technology skills, mixed with electrical fundamentals, technical graphics, welding, and math. This program of the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) was designed and developed by the construction industry for the construction industry. It is the only nationally-accredited, competency-based construction training program in the United States. A competency-based program requires that the trainee demonstrate the ability to safely perform specific job-related tasks.
