Collin describes the outstanding diesel program and the school's reputation nationwide as the reasons why he was attracted to Montana State University - Northern. Hello MSU-Northern students! My name is Hannah Rutherford and I am currently serving as senator for the 2017-2018 school year. I am excited to be involved in our student government here on campus. I am twenty years old and originally from Great Falls, MT. I hope to return home after obtaining my degree. I am currently a junior here at Northern; majoring in Elementary Education with concentrations in English and Social Studies. I am also seeking an endorsement in Special Education through MSU Billings. Here on campus I work in the business office and in the library as a tutor. I am involved in Chi Alpha, the on-campus ministry here at Northern. I chose to come to Northern because my great-grandpa attended Northern in the 1950s (though, it was called Northern Montana College at the time), he also got a degree in education. I suppose you could say attending Northern is a family tradition. I am very excited to get to know the students here at Northern, and to help make our campus better. Have a great school year and go Lights!
