Christopher Brekke-George is your awesome ASMSUN President. Majoring in Diesel Technology and AG Operations and originally from Bozeman, MT where he graduated from Bozeman High School in 2013. He is a member of MSUN Collegiate Stockgrowers and Skills USA. As part of Skills USA, he has gone to the National Skills USA Completion in Diesel. He annually goes to events such as YALC (Youth Agricultural Leadership Conference), Stockgrowers Convention and the State Skills USA Leadership conference and competition. He spends his free time hunting, being outdoors and hobby ranching.
Hello all! I'm Riley Mortenson, your 2018-2019 ASMSUN Vice President. I come from Dodson, MT, and graduated from Malta High School. I'm a Junior here at Northern and in my third year involved with student senate. I am majoring in Agriculture Operations Technology (AOT) and Business Administration, with minors in Accounting, Ag Tech, and Small Business Management. On campus I'm involved with Collegiate Stockgrowers, Post-Secondary Ag Students (where I am the IOC Representative), and Student Senate. Off campus I am a middle school volleyball coach. After graduation, I plan to use my business degree in an agriculture related field. Welcome to Northern and have a wonderful year!
Austin Wiese is from Malta. He is majoring in Agriculture Operations Technology and minoring in Agriculture Mechanics. He came to Northern because it was close to home. Austin became a senator on ASMSUN because he wanted to help improve the school and to help find solutions to problems on campus. Austin also works for sustainability here on campus.Welcome to Northern and have a wonderful year!
Hannah Pate is a freshman senator for the 2018-2019 school year. Her majors are Community Leadership and Secondary Education/Social Studies. She works for and volunteers with Forward Montana, a non-profit organization that encourages young people to vote and get involved in their government. When she graduates, she wants to make Montana more inclusive and equitable, and make the world a better place.
Hello! My name is Alex Lankford and I am the Sustainability Coordinator for the 2018-2019 school year. I am originally from western Washington and am a senior this year. My major is Diesel Technology and Ag Mechanics. One of the things that I love about Northern is the close proximity to great hunting and fishing access. I also have a radio show on campus; listen in on 90.1 FM, Monday night's 8-10pm. Go Lights!
Hello MSU-Northern students! My name is Hannah Rutherford and I am currently serving as the ASMSUN Administrative Assistant for the 2018-2019 school year. I am excited to be involved in our student government here on campus. I am twenty-one years old and originally from Great Falls, MT. I hope to return home after obtaining my degree. I am currently a senior here at Northern; majoring in Elementary Education and minoring in English and Social Studies. I am involved in Chi Alpha, the on-campus ministry here at Northern. I am very excited to get to know the students here at Northern, and to help make our campus better. Have a great school year and go Lights!

Jonathan "Junior" Nepoose
My name is Jonathan "Junior" Nepoose and I am a sophomore working towards my Bachelor in Elementary Education. I am an enrolled member of the Chippewa-Cree tribe of Rocky Boy and the Samson Cree Nation of Maskwacis, Alberta. My hope is to return to Rocky Boy's reservation and teach the youth, inspiring them to pursuit a strong education. I currently attend pow-wows regularly and hope to continue that tradition going in my family.
Kiara Love is currently taking her generals. Other than ASMSUN she is involved in Sweet grass Society. She is hoping to highlight all voices of the school, and include everyone in the student council. She is a graduate of Havre High School, and finds interest in social justice, reading, and art. She is enrolled at Fort Belknap Indian Reservation and her tribe is Gros Ventre.
I am from a little town just north of Missoula and am in my fourth year here at MSU-Northern. I am pursuing a BS in Civil Engineering Technology. This is my third year as a ASMSUN senator and I look forward to continuing my position on student senate.
This is Paula Michell's first year on ASMSUN. She is originally from Browning, Montana and is an enrolled Blackfeet member. Her major is business administration; her minor is civil engineering. She joined ASMSUN because she wanted to make a difference and wanted to give Native American students on campus a voice. She is involved with Sweetgrass Society and is a mentor with Little River Institute. She hopes everyone has a great semester.
