Natalee Faupel Becomes New All-time Leading Scorer

Heading into January 26th's game against UGF, Skylight senior Natalee Faupel was a single point behind Jodi Kruta for second on the Skylight all-time career scoring list. She surpassed not only Jodi Kruta, but she also broke Shiela Green's 25-year record of 1566 points. Faupel is now the new all-time leading scorer and there are still many games left in the season.
During the half time of the men's basketball game Natalee Faupel was presented with a basketball and plaque commemorating her accomplishment. Presenting the ball was Athletic Director Christian Oberquell, her mother, Cheri, Skylight basketball coach Chris Mouat, and MSU-Northern Chancellor Greg Kegel.
During her career, Natalee has received countless honors and has helped lead the Skylights to three straight NAIA National Tournaments. She has won eleven Frontier Player of the Week Awards and has earned Academic All-Conference honors three times. She has also been a First Team All-Frontier selection twice, and was last year's Frontier Conference Most Valuable Player. She was also a WBCA and NAIA First Team All-American.
Natalee now stands alone as the all-time leading scorer in Skylight history. Congratulations, Natalee, you make Northern proud!
