The mission of the MSUN Diversity Committee is to serve as an advisory board to all activities under the responsibility of the Office of Diversity Awareness and Multicultural Programs (ODAMP). This committee is also in charge of developing the ODAMP strategic plan. The Diversity Committee might be renewed every school year. The Director of the ODAMP serves as a chair, and it will be formed by at least 2 students (who could represent but will not be limited to the largest minorities on campus: American Indians, African Americans, and Hispanics), 2 faculty members (any full or adjunct professors who have interest in supporting diversity awareness and multiculturalism), 2 staff members (any full or part-time employees who have interest in supporting diversity awareness and multiculturalism), and at least 1 volunteer community member (any local resident who has an interest in supporting diversity awareness and multiculturalism). Agendas, minutes, and yearly reports (hard copy or electronic) will be completed. This committee meets every month during the school year or more if needed.
