The Director of Human Resources reports directly to the Chancellor.


The Director of Human Resources is responsible for coordination of recruitment for all positions at MSU-Northern and position classification. This position serves as Northern's representative to the MUS self-funded Worker's Compensation Program Management Committee. He/she also provides information on benefits and is member of Inter Units Benefits Committee (IUBC).

The Director of Human Resources is also responsible for general clarification of union contract interpretations, serves on the union negotiation team, and prepares reports dealing with confidential matters such as sexual harassment, grievance proceedings, and other human resources issues of a sensitive and/or confidential nature.
