About Us! The Sweetgrass Society was established in 1976 by Pam (Rosette) Austin for all students, both Indian and Non-Indian. Since then the club has expanded its membership to include all interested persons in the community. The Sweetgrass Society Powwow is held each year in May and students spend all year raising funds for this event. Food sales are usually held in front of the Admissions Office (Cowan Hall 213) or in Cowan Hall 308. Any money generated from the Powwow goes to scholarships & other club activities. Members are also involved in other campus events and do some community service. Activities:
Meetings are held in the Sweetgrass Room-Cowan Hall 308. Watch for signs posted on the bulletin boards around campus announcing meetings or sales. All students are welcome to use the room anytime, as it is a good place to relax or study in between classes. For more information contact:
