 Mission
Our mission is to guide new students (freshmen or transfer) in the selection of coursework for their first semester at MSU-Northern and until the student has decided on a major area of study. Primarily we empower and encourage the students to be in charge of their education process by holding advising sessions, assisting the student with online services and evaluating transfer transcripts.

You have been admitted to MSU-N... now what?

You want to transfer to MSU-N...
now what?

Now you contact the advising center and we will show you what is next!

All new freshman and transfer students who have been admitted to MSU-Northern are required to attend one of our Advising & Registration programs. During the advising session you will register for classes, discuss program sheets and academic planning, become acquainted with policies & procedures, and learn about the exciting extra-circular activities that are available to you!

Welcome to Northern!

~Ligia

ps: Don’t forget about having some fun with all the intramural activities, athletic games (Go Lights & Skylights!), along with all the student clubs and the activities.
