Problem:
Can't receive anything above Channel 13 -OR- you only receive channels
2-36.
Solution: Your equipment may not be
cable-ready or you are not configured to receive a video signal (review
set-up notes).
Problem:
Snowy picture on many channels.
Solution: Cable is connected to the
wrong connector on your TV and/or VCR (review set-up notes).
Problem:
Snowy picture on all channels.
Solution: Plug your video cable into
the jack in another room. If this solves the problem, contact the ITS
Help Desk (3765) to arrange for repairs of the defective jack. If
this doesn't solve the problem, borrow another video cable and
test your connection. If this works, replace your cable.
Problem:
Cannot receive a particular channel.
Solution: You may have a feature on
your TV which disables individual channels. Check your TV's documentation
for information regarding this problem.
Problem:
Interference on channel(s) 3, 13, 18, or 19.
Solution: Signal Interference - the
wiring which is in or near your TV may be acting as an antenna. Either
move the wire or move your television away from the source of interference.
