  1. Unplug power to TV.
  2. Make the Physical Connection. Plug one end of your video cable into the middle socket in the ResNet wallplate. Plug the other end into the appropriate socket in your TV (or VCR).
    • If your set-up consists of a television set and a VCR, make sure your video cable runs between the wall jack and the IN or ANTENNA jack on your VCR. Next, make sure you have a second cable running from the OUT jack on the VCR to the IN or ANTENNA jack on your television.
    • If your set-up only includes a television set, make sure your video cable runs from the wall jack to the IN or ANTENNA jack on your TV.
  3. Set up the Connection. Your television tuner should be set to either STD, CABLE or CATV. This may be an actual switch on the unit or it might be something you program by viewing/switching settings on your TV screen. Make sure you run the Autoprogram feature in order for your TV/VCR to search for and memorize the cable channels. Many TV sets will automatically set up a cable connection when they're first turned on. Other sets need to be told (usually via the remote control) to program the channels. We recommend you bring the manual and any remote controls that came with your TV set in order to set the connection up, just in case the TV set doesn't begin automatically.
