Accessing Library Resources from off-campus

Off-Campus access to library resources is provided through the MSU-Bozeman Library Proxy Service.  Select the resource from the list of databases or from within the Library Catalog. Click on the resource (index, database, electronic book) that you wish to use and the “User Authentication Required for MSU Northern Library” box will appear.

Enter your NetID, Desire2Learn or Student ID number (which can be found on your student ID card or obtained from the Registrar’s Office) in the Username box.  Then enter the corresponding Password in the password box. Click the Login button.

If you have forgotten your password or need to change your password, click on the “Get a new password” link.  If you wish to change your password, go to the following site (https://www3.montana.edu/uprofile-hv/) and follow the instructions found there. For more information about your MSU-Northern student passwords visit the Password Help Page.

After entering your username and password, click on Login to begin searching the resource.
