Tribal Challenge All-Star Tournament - 2005

Basketball is an extremely important tradition on all Native American Reservations in the United States. Basketball history is rich with outstanding players coming from all reservations in the Mid West which leads to the question, “which States reservation has the most talented players”?  In 2005, we intend to settle that debate on the basketball floor. A boy’s team and a girl’s team will represent their respective reservation at a tournament held in New Town, N.D. Also, this will be a great opportunity to showcase their talent to fans and college recruiters around the area. Hopefully, the following will answer questions about the tournament.

REGULATIONS

  • A player who played the 2004-05 season for a high school team is only eligible to represent the reservation that high school resides in.
  • All players are eligible if they played the 2004-05 season for a high school on a reservation and are representing that reservation.
  •  Due to the fact some reservations are limited in high schools and students, some exceptions have been made as follows.

-         A player must be Native American to be Eligible.

-         Has to be agreed upon by the Tournament Directors prior to first game.

-         Must show school transcripts upon request to prove to be from that school.

  • Eligible players must be a senior, junior, sophomore or freshmen during the 2004-05 season.
