BASKETBALL PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

FRONTIER – Players from Montana State-Northern and Westminster College were selected as Frontier Conference Players of the Week.

 

Women’s Player of the Week: Shannon Evans, Westminster College, 5’8” junior guard from Morgan, Utah. Westminster College downed Biola 79-75 and Warner Pacific 64-56 last weekend. Evans averaged 22 points, four rebounds, and 4.5 assists. She was 16 of 25 from the field, 7 of 11 for three-point field goals and 5 of 7 free throws.  Also nominated: Dana Ball of Montana State-Northern, Heather Brooks of Montana Western, Jolene Fuzesy of Carroll College, Laura Keaster of the University of Great Falls and Gretchen Wall of Rocky Mountain College

Men’s Player of the Week: Delvaughn Tinned, Montana State-Northern, 6’0”, senior guard from Seattle, Wash. Northern defeated Walla Walla College 99-57 and Minot State 87-75. In the two games, Tinned averaged 24.5 points, four rebounds and 3.5 assists. He was 16 of 31 from the field, 8 of 17 3-point field goals and 9 of 10 from the free throw line. Also nominated.
