FRONTIER CONFERENCE BASKETBALL COACHES PICK FAVORITES IN 2005-2006 PRE-SEASON POLL

DILLON - In a pre-season poll of Frontier Conference women’s basketball coaches, 2004-05 regular season and tournament champion Carroll College was picked to win the 2005-2006 title. UM-Western was picked second followed by Lewis-Clark, MSU-Northern, Rocky Mountain College, Westminster College, University of Great Falls and Montana Tech. Carroll received seven first place votes with Lewis-Clark receiving one.

        The league’s men’s coaches selected last season’s regular season champion Carroll College to win the 2005-06 league title, followed by Westminster College, Lewis-Clark, Rocky Mountain College, University of Montana-Western and MSU-Northern tied for 5th, followed by Montana Tech and University of Great Falls. Carroll received seven first place votes and Westminster received one.

        Votes were 7 points for first, 6 points for second, 5 points for third, 4 points for fourth, 3 points for fifth, 2 points for sixth and one point for seventh. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own team.
