BASKETBALL PLAYERS OF THE
WEEK

FRONTIER – Players from Carroll College
and MSU-Northern were named Frontier
Conference Basketball Players of the Week.
Men’s Player of the Week: Jeff Hays, Carroll College, 6-5, Sr, F, from Missoula, Montana. The Saints beat the University of Mary
88-59; Dickinson State 87-75 and South Dakota Tech 82-79. Hays scored 68 points in the three
wins. He was 21 of 32 from the field; 17 of 18 from free throw line and 9 of 16
in 3-point field goals. He also averaged 3.6 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game.
Also nominated Charlie Cox of UM-Western and Jordan Matthews
of MSU-Northern.
Women’s
Player of the Week: Jaci Heny,
MSU-Northern, 5-7, senior guard
from Powell, Wyoming. Northern split a two game series with the University of Lethbridge. The Skylights lost 73-80 and then rebounded for a 73-65 win. Heny scored 32 points, pulled down eight rebounds, and
dished off 10 assists and hit a perfect 21 for 21 from the free throw line. Also nominated Danielle Maloney of Carroll College and Laura Shea
of UM-Western.
