BASKETBALL PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

FRONTIER – Players from MSU-Northern and UM-Western were named

Frontier Conference Basketball Players of the Week.

 

Men’s Player of the Week: Cory Brothers, MSU-Northern, 6-3, So, G,

from Havre, Montana. The Lights beat the University of Regina 76-63.

Brothers scored 31 points and pulled down four rebounds. He was 71%

from the field going 12 or 17. From the free throw line, he hit 6 out of

seven. Also nominated Charlie Cox of UM-Western and Sinan Gular of

Carroll College.

 

Women’s Player of the Week: Becky O’Neil, University of Montana-

Western, 6-0, junior post from Kalispell, Montana. In Western’s opening

game of the season, a 73-56 win over the University of Lethbridge, O’Neil

scored 18 points, pulled down 12 rebounds and blocked six shots. She

was 7 of 11 from the field and 4 of 6 from the free throw line. Also

nominated Emili Woody of Carroll College.
