Skylights Volleyball inks Canadian outside hitter

Lisa Handley, Montana State University – Northern Head Volleyball Coach, has announced the signing of Carlee Hoff, a transfer from Mt. Royal College in Calgary, Alberta (CA).  Carlee is a 5’9 outside hitter who hits a very heavy ball.  Carlee was the MVP of the 2003-04 Alberta Provincial championship team and also received their sportsmanship award.  She played for the Dinos, Calgary’s highly elite club volleyball team, and helped lead the Dinos to the bronze medal at Canada’s national tournament.  Carlee was one of Mt. Royal’s main attackers for their team, but Carlee decided she wanted to come to the states to play where she still has three years of eligibility.

“Her enthusiasm to attend MSU-Northern is exciting to me.  She loves the game of volleyball and comes from a volleyball family.  Carlee is very competitive and has said she is going to fight for a starting spot on next year’s team, which is a tall order considering we have all six returning starters from last year – but that is what I like about Carlee – she wants to succeed and wants to challenge herself to be the best!”
