MSU-Northern men’s basketball coach Shawn Huse has added a pair of recruits for the upcoming season.

Antonio Jordan of Little Rock, AR, and Tim Hutchins of Marietta, GA, have signed NAIA national letters of intent to play for the Lights.

Jordan, a 6’0” point guard, and Hutchins, a 6’3” wing player, played for Treasure Valley Community College in Ontario, OR, this past year, where they helped their team finish 3rd in the very tough Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges.

Jordan averaged 8 points, 4 assists, and 3 rebounds per game while shooting 83% from the free-throw line.  “Antonio is a very athletic player with a great work ethic,” Huse said.  “He is very young for a sophomore at 19 years of age.  I believe his best basketball is ahead of him.  He is very coachable and still growing as a basketball player.”

Hutchins averaged 11 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 steals per game.  “Tim is a very mature person with a great work ethic and attitude as well,” Huse said.  “We are very fortunate to have these two join our program.  They are fine people and students.  They will add depth to our backcourt and provide a great deal of leadership to our squad.”
