Skylights pick up win

The Montana State University-Northern women's basketball team improved its
record to 2-1 on its Canadian road trip with a 72-51 win over the Grant
MacEwan College Lady Griffins in Edmonton on Tuesday.
Northern rolled to a 40-22 first-half lead, thanks to 10 first-half points by
senior Khadiga Mohamed, and never looked back.
Mohamed finished with a game high 20 points, while senior Anna Bateman scored
16 points, including four three-pointers. Transfer Megan Valgardson chipped
in with 11 points.
The win improves the Skylights' record to 9-5 on the season. They will
continue their stay up North, heading to Calgary for the Mount Royale College
Invitational tournament on Friday.
