Skylights wrap up fall golf season
The Montana State University-Northern golf team wrapped up the fall
portion of its schedule on Tuesday at the two-day Rocky Mountain
College Invitational held at Peter Yegen Golf Club in Billings.

Skylights finish sixth at Carroll College invite
The Montana State University-Northern golf team found the
weather and course conditions to its liking on Monday and
Tuesday at the Carroll College Invitational. The Skylights also
found the competition to be better as well. Northern finished
sixth out of six teams that had enough golfers to register a
team score.

Northern golfers brave elements
The first Frontier Conference college golf tournament of the
season is always a bit of a reminder for those competing that
the sport isn't just a walk in the park at that level. Teams
braved nasty cold and rainy weather on Monday and were rewarded
with a day of sunshine on Tuesday at the Montana Tech Golf
Invitational at the Butte Country Club.

Skylight golfers open season shorthanded
The Montana State
University-Northern women's golf team will make its debut this
weekend, albeit a little shorthanded. The Skylights could possibly
only have three or four golfers today when they open play at the
Montana Tech Invitational at the Butte Country Club.

Boles hopes to rebuild Skylight Golf
New Montana State University-Northern golf coach Dave Boles has a
simple philosophy: If youčre going to have a sport, you might as
well do it right. Boles takes over this season for Warren Quick,
who left coaching to work for BNSF Railway. It was a job Boles
wasnčt even sure was available until last week. |
