Troy was born and raised in Havre, MT. He has been coaching the MSU-Northern Rodeo Team since 2006. Troy works as a Combination Technician for Triangle Telephone Cooperative. He graduated from MSU-Bozeman in 2001 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Troy’s list of accomplishments include being a State High School Champion in Bareback Riding, being a top 10 finisher at the National High School Finals Rodeo, qualifying for the CNFR twice, qualifying for the Montana Pro Rodeo Circuit Finals 8 times, winning a Montana Circuit Championship in 2004, and qualifying for the Dodge National Circuit Finals Rodeo twice. Troy currently ranks 2nd in the Montana Pro Rodeo Circuit Standings. His family includes wife, Shannon, and sons, Colter and Teegan.
