Troy was born and raised in Havre, MT, and has been coaching the MSU-Northern Rodeo Team since 2006.  Troy works as a Combination Technician for Triangle Telephone Cooperative.  He graduated from MSU-Bozeman in 2001 with a degree in Electrical Engineering.  Troy’s list of accomplishments include being a State High School Champion in Bareback Riding, being a top 10 finisher at the National High School Finals Rodeo, qualifying for the CNFR twice, qualifying for the Montana Pro Rodeo Circuit Finals 10 times, winning a Montana Circuit Championship in 2004 and 2009, and qualifying for the Dodge National Circuit Finals Rodeo 3 times.  Troy currently ranks 3^rd in the Montana Pro Rodeo Circuit Standings.  His family includes wife, Shannon, and sons, Colter and Teegan.
