Lamar Morinia

Lamar will be one of the Lights’ senior co-captains this season.  Last year, Lamar sat out the first semester but came on strong during Frontier Conference competition to average 14 points and 4 rebounds per game while shooting 43% from the 3-point line.  Lamar is a consistent scorer from the point guard position and has the ability to finish in traffic on dribble penetration and in transition.  Defensively, Lamar pressures the passing lane and can create steals with his quick hands and anticipation.  The Lights are looking for leadership and solid defense from Lamar during his final go-round.  Lamar was born March 16^th, 1981, to Larry, Sr., and Brenda Morinia and shares a baby girl, Jazel, with his wife Jimel.  He is a Communications major.
