Light's Basketball sign junior college transfer

Six-foot-eight sophomore forward, Clinton Shelton of San Diego, CA has signed a letter-of-intent to play for the Lights next season.  He competed at Cuyamaca Community College and helped his team to a 12-4 finish in the Pacific Coast Conference, a trip to the California State Tournament, and a 19-12 overall record.  He is an outstanding shot-blocker (at 3.1 per game), led his team in rebounds (at 7.9 per game) and averaged 9.5 points per game.  In the Regional-qualifying game, Clinton recorded a triple-double scoring 10 points, getting 10 blocks and gathering 10 rebounds in an important win for the Coyotes.

While at Cuyamaca Clinton set several records and was named 2^nd Team All-Pacific Coast Conference.  He holds the record for the most blocks in a single game (2006-07) – 10 vs. Imperial Valley, (2005-06) – 9 vs. Grossmont College.  He also holds the record for most blocks in a season – 94 (3.0 per game) and for a career – 143 (2.3 per game).
