The New Emergency Notification System provides MSU Northern students, faculty, staff, parents and others (alumni) critical information in the event of an emergency. The system delivers emergency messages through text messaging, voice messages over cellular or landline phones, and e mail.

Enrollment in MSU Alert is free and voluntary. If you do not enroll in the system, you will not receive critical text or voice messages on your cellular and landline phones. Enrollment also allows you to enter an e mail account you wish emergency messages sent to, if other than your myportal or work email account.

The MSU Alert system will only be used for critical messages, testing and maintenance of the system. You will not receive spam through the system and your personal information will not be used for commercial purposes.
