Our students are back and the campus has renewed energy with their presence. We have more students staying on campus this fall and many exciting things happening at Northern that benefit the students and enrich the campus experience. We are anticipating the new Applied Technology Center Grand Opening soon (April 11th, 2006). The athletic programs, which have produced more than a fair share of National titles and exciting competition, are back at work. The campus was absolutely beautiful this fall.

On the news front, the Aurora Borealis will be coming out twice a year from now on. This will allow us to use more color photos and do larger issues. One of the drawbacks is that we can not get the calendar of events out to you as early as we would like. The calendar will always be on our website at www.msun.edu/alumni/calendar.htm. Also on our homepage will be links to the University Travel Benefits program and the Liberty Mutual Insurance program.

The third edition of our alumni directory will be published in 2006. In order to make this all new alumni publication an invaluable reference for you, we are working with Harris Connect, Inc. again because of their experience and the quality publications they produced for us in the. past. You will soon be receiving correspondence and a Questionnaire that will provide an opportunity to correct and update your information in our files as well as have the correct information in the directory. If you don't receive a Questionnaire, please contact me in the Alumni Office and I will see that you get one. We do not have a class year for about 800 alurns and if you are one of them, please add that information. If you did not graduate, please use the last year you attended or the class year you would like to have reunion mailings. Thank you for your cooperation in this.

The alumni annual fund has begun with a mailing November 1 st. The Spring Pbonathon calls will begin on February 21st and end on April 20th, 2006. We appreciate your support. The Class of 1956 will be celebrating their 50th Reunion on May 5th & 6th, 2006. We will send them a list out of their lost classmates so they can help us contact them in time for the Reunion.
