The Skylights finished the season 5-9 in the conference and tied for fifth place. The Skylights played the defending Champions Rocky Mountain College in the Frontier Conference Tournament, who finished the conference ranked third. The Skylights beat Rocky in three consecutive games upsetting the defending-champion Bears and went on to finish fourth in the Conference Tournament behind two nationally ranked teams, and three top teams in the region. Skylights setter Gabrielle Chambliss broke three records; MSU-Northern's career service ace record with 139, career assist record with 2523, and single season assists record with 1164. She has been named as setter-of-the-week for the Frontier Conference three-times. Freshman outside-hitter, Stephanie Lanfear, was named to the AllTournament Team for the Skylights Town House Invitational. She had 28 kills, 5 aces, 48 digs, and 5 blocks and broke the serve receive record, held by teammate Lyndi Hostetter, serving an incredible 95.3%; Lyndi's record was 93.7%. Two Skylight middle hitters broke school records beating the old season hitting percentage of .320. Sophomore Andrea Knox hit .367 for the year and senior Laura Munson hit .392. A middle hitter Andrea Knox had a rare triple double against Western Montana on Oct. 26th with 10 kills, 15 digs, and 10 blocks. She finished first in the Conference in attack percentage hitting .370 in the conference games; Laura Munson finished second with .366. Senior outside hitter Lyndi Hostetter passed the 1000 dig mark against Conference rivals Montana Tech on September 29th. Lyndi finished her career with 1249 digs and broke the school record for career aces and is second all-time, behind Gabrielle, with 115. She was named to the AllTournament Team at the Palm Beach Atlantic Tournament, in Florida. She had 54 kills, hit .261, had 70 digs, served 100% and served up 7 aces. A senior, she finished first in the conference for serving percentage at 98.5%. Other Skylights who finished in the top ten in the conference for serving percentage were, Gabrielle Chambliss 97.5%, Sarah Bruce 96. 8%, and Emmy Olson 95.6%. Freshman ouside-hitter Stephanie Lanfear was named to the AllTournament Team for the Skylights Town House Invitational. She had 28 kills, 5 aces, 48 digs, and 5 blocks and broke the server receive record, held by teammate Lyndi Hostetter, serving an incredible 95.3%. Lyndi's record was 93.7% Sophomore hitters Andrea Knox and Tanja Bruski lit up the net by finishing the conference in the top ten for blocks per game. Andrea blocked 1.26 blocks per game and Tanja stepped it up and blocked 1.0 per game. The Skylights team finished first in the Frontier Conference in serving percentage 94.8 %, and second in hitting percentage .239.
