Bill Huebsch, ’93, has been named the new Skylight volleyball head coach as of January 9th, 2009. Huebsch, a high school coach with Havre High School for 11 years, built that program into one of the premier programs in Montana. Under his guidance, the Blue Ponies have two Class A state championships and eight Top Five finishes at Class A state tournaments. He has an overall record of 236-93, two Central A Coach of the Year awards and two MCA Class A Coach of the Year awards to cap an outstanding run in high school sports. “Because of the relationships I’ve had with the kids and the program we’ve established at Havre High, it was a hard decision. It makes this a little bittersweet for me.” But, the goals of a lifetime often lead to new opportunities and when the MSU-Northern job opened up, he applied. “I’m really looking forward to this opportunity.” “Its something I’ve always want to do and I’m anxious to get started.” Bill and his wife, Tracy (Hansen) ’94, won’t have to rent a moving van to make this move as it is just across town. They have three daughters. |
