Former President Bill Clinton visited MSU-Northern on Tuesday, April 1st, to help generate support for Senator Hillary Clinton's presidential bid for the upcoming June primaries.
During his visit at MSU-Northern, Clinton met with local Tribal Leaders to find out what the issues were that concerned the Native Americans in Montana. Clinton said he had wanted to have this meeting when he was President but was unable to make it happen. So he decided on Monday afternoon to bring this meeting together while he was on Northern's campus. Several items were brought to his attention that he was not aware of prior to the meeting.
Kim and Joe Callahan were among the 250 people who came out in a snow storm to attend the "We Love Northern Ball". It was a wonderful evening that featured a prime rib dinner, live and silent auctions and dancing to Can Am Entertainment. Last year the Ball raised $25,000 for student scholarships and although the final tally is not yet in it looks like they will top that figure.

Drew Petterson made the following comment during his Student Excellence awards speech. "I'd like to end by sharing with you my own personal Mastercard commercial. An NAIA certified Rawlings basketball? $61. Rent for next month? $200. Cost of out of state tuition? I don't really know... Thanks again coach. And finally, coming to Big Sky country to play basketball for a team that has the Frontier Coach of the year, have 9 amazing teammates, go 22-9, become conference co-champs, play for the frontier tournament title, lose, and get snubbed by the NAIA tournament selection committee, but have and entire school, town, and community have your back and support you through it all? Priceless."

During the last week of May the Montana
Board of Regents came to Northern for
their May meetings. These meetings occur
every other month and they try to visit
every campus in the system every other

campus to show off our accomplishments
and to draw their attention to the areas
where we need their help to succeed.
