Governor Brian Schweitzer was on hand for MSU-Northern's open house for its new Biodiesel Certification Lab.

The lab will assist in testing and certifying biodiesel fuels. The law requires that all biodiesel fuel being sold be tested every ten thousand gallons to make sure it passes the standards.

Governor Brian Schweitzer commented, "We need to have standards in the biofuels industry. So that when you fill up with biodiesel you're getting the same product or the same quality everywhere you go. It's important we have some place local, some place in our own community that will help us grow and build the bio fuels industry."
