Eleven Montana State University-Northern students were recently named student excellence award winners for the 2006 2007 school year. In order to qualify for a student excellence award several criteria must be met. Students must be at least a junior at Northern and have a 2.75 grade point average or higher and be actively involved in the campus community. The student excellence award is the highest honor a student at Montana State University¬Northern can receive. These students officially received their awards during the Student Scholarship and Excellence Awards Convocation, which was held in the Student Union Building (SUB). This year's recipients are: Matthew Anderson, Joy Barsotti, Leo Bullchild, Allison Flynn, Jennifer Gorder, Monty Harrison, Joy Linn, Starlaen Perkins, Kyle Samson, Brooke Schwan and Kylee Starr.
