Northern Grad is National Cattlewoman of the Year

Paulette (Hofeldt) Keller, '70, of Lloyd, Montana was named the 2006 Outstanding CattleWoman of the Year at the 2007 Cattle Industry National Convention in Nashville, Tennessee, during the American National CattleWoman's awards reception.

This award is given to a cattlewoman who has excelled at continued beef promotion on the local, state and national level, while contributing dedication, commitment and support to the American National CattleWomen, Inc. Only two other Montana women have won this prestigious award, Connie Townsend and Jane Lindgren.

The Montana CattleWomen's nomination of Paulette was nine pages long. Paulette joined the ANCW in 1982 and served on the board of Directors and as Region V Education Committee chair. She had been a leader at the state level serving as vice president, president elect, and president as well as in almost every committee position. "I feel like it's my job to help promote my industry when the need calls, whether in the grocery store or in the schools," she said. Paulette is also involved in her community through, 4H, homemakers club and volunteering in the schools. She is an election judge and fire department supporter. She and her husband, Mike, have two children and two grandchildren.
