Kevin Owens

Kevin Owens, who attended MSU-Northern 1994-1998 and played for the Northern Lights basketball team, left Northern six credits short of earning his degree in Health and Physical Education to play professional basketball.

While at Northern, Owens was a three-year All-American and voted the conference Most Valuable Player. After leaving Northern, Owens signed a contract to play in Germany. From there, he went on to play for the Billings Rimrockers of Billings, MT, and finally went on to Australia to play.

He decided he was ready to move on and had achieved his dreams of playing professional basketball. Since childhood, Owens has promised his mother he would earn a college degree. He currently resides in Hampton , VA , where he transferred credits from a community college and graduated from Northern this year with a Health Promotion degree.

One of Owens' goals, which he has reached, is that of owning his own business. He currently owns Fast Break Bail Service in Virginia . Owens plans to earn a Master's degree in Sports Management from the United States Sports Academy . He is currently an NFL agent and is married with three children. Owens is very grateful to the faculty and coaching staff at Northern and the Havre community for all the support they have given him. He holds fond memories of his time at Northern and plans to return to visit.
