Special Acknowledgement
Summer 2002

Stacy Carlson Whitaker (Class of 1998) graduated from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine with a degree of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine on June 1st 2001. Stacy graduated with honors from MSU-Northern with an Associates of Agricultural Technology and a Bachelors of Science with Biology and Chemistry concentration. Stacy met and married Jeff Whitaker (Class of 1998) while attending MSU-Northern. Jeff and Stacy purchased a wheat farm north of Havre in 1996 that was put into CRP. Stacy will begin internship and residency in OB/GYN in Lansing, Michigan in July. Jeff and Stacy have been blessed with two adorable boys, Marshal Wade Whitaker and Wyatt Paul Wesley Whitaker. Stacy's parents are Paul and Nadine Carlson of Great Falls Montana and in-laws Wesley and Lana Whitaker of Gildford Montana.

Although Stacy is proud of her graduation from medical school, she will be the first to tell you that her family comes first and that her heart will always be on the farm. Stacy plans to return to Montana for her practice and to continue to pursue agriculture as much as time allows.
