MSU-Northern Hosts 50th Reunion
Summer 2002

Montana State University-Northern was proud to welcome back the Northern Montana College Class of 1952 to celebrate their 50th reunion on May 10th and 11th, 2002. This was a memorable event for the returning alums and the schedule included campus and community tours, class meetings, great fellowship and a re-enactment ceremony of their 50 year graduation during Northern's commencement. The reunion began Friday, May 10th, with class registration in Donaldson Commons, followed by a luncheon featuring MSU-Northern's Chancellor

Dr. Alex Capdeville who gave the welcome and update on the campus progress. Montana State University-Northern's Northstar student ambassador lead a tour of the campus in the restored "Goose" followed by a class meeting in Donaldson Hall. Friday's festivities concluded with the Founder's Excellence dinner and Reunion banquet in the Student Union Dining Room. The 50-year alumni were introduced and received their 50-Year commemorative pins.

On Saturday May 11th, Montana State University-Northern's Commencement Ceremony highlights the weekend as the 50-year graduates also known as "Golden Grads" marched in the processional leading the new graduates in the graduation exercises. At the conclusion of Commencement, they joined the Class of 2002 and their families and friends and the faculty, staff and administration at the Student Union Building Ballroom for the graduation brunch.

The final activity was a social hour and barbecue held in Donaldson Commons and hosted by the Northern Alumni Association board members.
